From the moment I met Anna, a senior at Sparta High School, I was struck by her poise, her grace, and the beautiful, sweet spirit that just radiated from within her. Anna, who is active in both sideline and competitive cheer, was looking for senior pictures in downtown Grand Rapids with a contemporary, modern feel, to set off her fresh, trendy style. Pairing that with the natural fields and flowers of Millennium Park for the second part of her shoot was the perfect compliment, drawing out her fun and playful side.
Anna met with makeup artist Allison Bower to have her makeup applied prior to her shoot, and Allison did an amazing job! Anna was ready to stop traffic as we started shooting!
As we began the second half of her shoot, I was thrilled to discover that Anna had brought along a hat to pair with one of her outfits! It added such a classic and yet lighthearted, even sassy touch to her already fantastic look.
Anna, her mom, and I laughed together as we wrapped up the final moments of her shoot, chasing the last patches of light as the sun dropped below the distant trees. It was an amazing evening, and I could have gone on shooting a long time.
Here’s what Anna had to say about her Senior Portrait Experience:
“I was very nervous and awkward at first, but Jennifer made me feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She finds the most beautiful places to shoot. She sure knows how to bring out the beauty in her clients and the surroundings. I am amazed by her work!”
Thank YOU, Anna, for asking me to be your senior photographer! It has been an honor to work with you!
