As soon as I started talking to Elizabeth, Allendale High School Class of 2014, I knew her Senior Portrait Experience was going to be something extra awesome. She described her style as unique, indie, and thrift-store inspired. And for her shoot, she wanted both an urban grunge location to showcase her edgier side, as well as a natural setting to play up her softer, dressier side. We made our plans for a fall shoot, and I found two locations near downtown Grand Rapids that seemed to suit her perfectly.
Working with Elizabeth was a blast! She put together some fabulous outfits and had the model vibe going. And her hair – well, let’s just say she totally rocks being a redhead. Not to mention that her makeup, applied by FACES by Linda G, was fierce. We had some great laughs, including an obstinate fingernail that didn’t want to stay on! Oh, and did I mention this girl can SING?? I loved photographing her with some of her sheet music, and even got some chills when Elizabeth and her sister broke into a duet during our time together.
Thanks again, Elizabeth, for picking me as your senior photographer! It was a privilege to capture the authentic, beautiful YOU!
